Questions

Does it work with QuickBooks?

Partly. Today, Honest Day exports invoices and payments as CSV files that QuickBooks Online imports. Live sync, where invoices and payments move into QuickBooks Online on their own, is built and in testing but is not open to customers yet. It will be a Premium feature.

Does it work with Xero?

Through files only. Honest Day exports invoices in Xero's import template and payments as a bank statement file. There is no live Xero sync.

Can I build my own integration?

Yes, on Premium. The REST API reads and writes your time, projects and clients with a personal token, and its OpenAPI document is public at honestday.app/api/openapi.json. Signed JSON webhooks tell your own endpoint when time, invoices or timesheets change. The MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor do the same work with your permissions.

Does it work with Zapier or Make?

Not yet. The connections are built but have not been released, so for now use the API and webhooks directly.

Which integrations are free?

Imports, calendar import, the accounting export files and the Chrome extension are on every plan, and so are the Google and Outlook calendar connections once they open. The API, webhooks, MCP server, Slack, task tools, Zapier, Make, single sign-on and QuickBooks Online sync are Premium. Card and PayPal payments are Premium, and free while you are the only person in the workspace. See pricing.
