Log time in plain language, by typing, voice or an assistant
Honest Day does not track you in the background. You write or say what you did and it files the entry: "bb email 45m yesterday refund for order 4412 #refund" becomes the right client, project, task, duration, date, note and tag.

Type to log
The entry bar resolves project, task, duration, date, notes and tags instantly from a line of text. When it is unsure which project you mean, an AI fallback picks one, and you can correct it before saving.
Voice entry
The microphone beside the entry box records up to 30 seconds. The audio is transcribed and read by the same parser as typed text. Hold to talk, or tap, talk, tap.
Ask Honest Day
- An assistant (Command J) that answers questions from your data and logs time or starts a timer when you ask.
- It sees only what the person asking is allowed to see, so people who cannot see rates do not get rates.
- The free plan includes 20 assistant turns a day; Premium includes 500 or more.
Receipts
On an expense, "Fill in from receipt" reads a photo or PDF and prefills date, merchant, total, currency and category. It never saves by itself.
From Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
Premium includes an MCP server at /mcp, plus a REST API and webhooks, so an assistant you already use can read and log time with a token you create.
What this is not
It is not automatic tracking. Tools that watch your apps and calendar in the background to fill in a timesheet work differently and are a good fit if you want that. Honest Day never monitors apps, websites or keystrokes.
Questions
Does Honest Day track time automatically?
No. Entries are written by people, or by the assistant when they ask it to. There is no background tracking.
What does the assistant see?
Only what the person asking can see in the app. It respects role permissions.
What is free and what is Premium?
Type to log, voice entry and 20 assistant turns a day are on the free plan. The MCP server, API and webhooks, and 500 or more turns a day are Premium.
